ANSI Cast Steel Flanged Gate Valve (Rising Stem, Handwheel Operated)

This ANSI/API-standard flanged gate valve provides reliable full-bore isolation for oil, gas, steam, water, and general process piping. The wedge gate disc travels perpendicular to flow, offering an unobstructed straight-through passage with minimal pressure drop when fully open. The rising stem provides clear visual indication of valve position. A cast handwheel drives the stem through a yoke bushing for smooth, dependable operation.

The valve features a cast WCB carbon steel body, bolted bonnet, and raised-face flanged ends drilled to ASME B16.5. The flexible wedge disc accommodates thermal expansion and ensures tight seating under varying temperatures. Seat and disc seating surfaces are 13Cr stainless steel or Stellite-overlaid for wear resistance. A backseat allows repacking the stem under pressure. The valve is designed for on-off service only and should not be used for throttling.

Designed and manufactured to API 600 / ASME B16.34 and tested per API 598. Body materials include WCB, LCC, WC6, WC9, CF8, and CF8M. Gear operators are standard on larger sizes. Electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuation is available for automated service.
