Large-Bore Cast Steel Flanged Gate Valve with Bypass (Rising Stem)
This large-bore flanged gate valve is designed for high-pressure isolation in water, steam, oil, and gas pipelines. The wedge gate provides a full-bore, unobstructed flow path with minimal pressure drop when fully open. An integral bypass line with a small bypass valve connects the upstream and downstream sides, allowing pressure to be equalized across the main gate before opening. This reduces opening torque, protects seating surfaces, and enables safe operation of large valves under high differential pressure.
The valve features a cast WCB body, bolted bonnet, rising stem with visible position indication, and a handwheel with a yoke nut. The flexible wedge disc accommodates thermal expansion and ensures tight seating. Seat and gate sealing surfaces are 13Cr stainless steel or Stellite-overlaid for wear resistance. A backseat permits stem packing replacement under pressure. The valve is intended for on-off isolation service and should not be used for throttling.
Flanged ends are drilled to ASME B16.5 or GB/T 9113. Designed to API 600 / ASME B16.34 and tested per API 598. Gear operators are standard on large sizes. Electric, pneumatic, or hydraulic actuation is available for remote or automated operation.
