Micro-Resistance Slow-Closing Check Valve
Micro-Resistance Slow-Closing Swing Check Valve (Dashpot Type, Flanged Ends)
This slow-closing check valve is installed at pump discharge to prevent reverse flow and eliminate water hammer during pump shutdown. The valve combines a swing check disc with an integrated hydraulic dashpot. Under forward flow, the disc opens fully with minimal resistance (low head loss). When flow stops, the disc first closes rapidly over most of its travel, then the dashpot slows the final seating, dissipating reverse-flow energy and preventing pressure surges and hydraulic shock.
The valve features a cast iron or cast steel body, flanged ends, bolted cover, and an external hydraulic cylinder with adjustable closing speed at the bottom. The disc and seat are available in bronze, 13Cr stainless steel, or rubber-lined for water service. Integral support feet stabilize the valve in horizontal pipelines. Closing speed is adjustable via the dashpot throttle valve to suit system conditions.
Typical applications include water supply pump stations, wastewater treatment, HVAC circulating water, fire protection systems, and industrial cooling water networks. The valve operates automatically with no external power. Designed and tested per GB/T 13927 and CJ/T standards; ANSI flanges are available on request.
