Cryogenic Forged Trunnion Ball Valve (Extended Bonnet with Drip Plate, Flanged)

This cryogenic trunnion ball valve is designed for extreme low-temperature service in LNG terminals, air separation plants, ethylene and propylene processing, and cryogenic storage and loading systems. The extended bonnet moves the stem packing and operator well above the cold zone, preventing seal freezing and maintaining reliable operation at temperatures down to -196 C (-321 F). An integral drip plate (insulation flange) on the bonnet provides a sealing surface where the valve passes through cold-box or pipe insulation, preventing condensation and ice migration along the stem.

The valve features a three-piece forged stainless steel body, trunnion-mounted ball for low operating torque and tight bidirectional shut-off, and flanged ends. A cavity pressure relief feature vents vaporized liquid trapped between the seats back upstream, preventing overpressure from thermal expansion. Fire-safe, anti-static, and blow-out proof stem designs are standard, and all pressure-retaining materials are supplied with low-temperature Charpy impact test certification. The blue worm-gear operator with handwheel can be replaced by electric or pneumatic actuation.

Designed to API 6D / ASME B16.34 and BS 6364, tested per API 598 and cryogenic type-tested per BS 6364 / MSS SP-134. Body materials include LCC (-46 C), LC3 (-101 C), CF8, CF8M, F304, and F316 (-196 C). Seat options include reinforced PTFE, Devlon, and PCTFE for cryogenic duty.
