Cast Steel Flanged Swing Check Valve (Bolted Cover)

This swing check valve automatically prevents reverse flow in pipelines without any external operation. A hinged disc swings open under forward flow and closes by gravity and reverse flow, seating tightly against the seat ring. The full-bore flow path offers low pressure drop and minimal turbulence, making the valve suitable for water, oil, gas, steam, and general process media.

The valve features a cast WCB carbon steel body, bolted cover with lifting eye, and raised-face flanged ends. The disc and seat ring are 13Cr stainless steel or Stellite-overlaid for wear resistance and tight shut-off. The hinge pin is external to the flow path, reducing friction and allowing easy maintenance. A cast-in flow arrow indicates the required installation direction. The valve operates automatically and requires no power source or actuator.

Designed to API 6D / ASME B16.34 and tested per API 598. Body materials include WCB, LCC, WC6, WC9, CF8, and CF8M. Available with lever-and-weight or dashpot options for water hammer prevention in high-flow or pulsating systems. Typical applications include pump discharge, compressor stations, water treatment, and process piping.
