Pneumatic Flanged Metal-Seated Butterfly Valve (Triple-Offset, Double-Acting Actuator)

This flanged butterfly valve combines a heavy-duty triple-offset metal-seated valve body with a large double-acting scotch-yoke pneumatic actuator for automated on-off and modulating control in large-bore process piping. The triple-offset disc design eliminates sliding contact between disc and seat during opening and closing, providing zero rubbing, low torque, and long service life with bubble-tight metal-to-metal shut-off.

The flanged body offers robust mounting and is suitable for high-temperature, abrasive, and fire-safe applications where resilient-seated butterfly valves are unsuitable. The metal seat is hardfaced with Stellite or tungsten carbide for wear resistance. The double-acting pneumatic actuator delivers high output torque for reliable operation of large valves, and is fitted with a solenoid valve, limit switches, positioner, and air filter-regulator as standard automation accessories. A manual handwheel or hydraulic override is available for emergency operation.

Typical applications include power plants, steel mills, petrochemical plants, flue gas systems, steam lines, and high-temperature process piping. The valve is designed to API 609 and ASME B16.34, with flanged ends per ASME B16.5 / EN 1092.
