Wafer-Type Concentric Butterfly Valve (Resilient Seated, Lever Operated)

This wafer-type butterfly valve is a compact, lightweight shut-off valve designed for installation between two pipeline flanges. The concentric disc rotates on a centerline shaft and compresses against a resilient elastomer seat, providing bubble-tight shut-off with low operating torque. The wafer body has no flanges of its own, minimizing weight, face-to-face dimension, and installed cost.

The valve features a one-piece elastomer liner (EPDM, NBR, or Viton) that isolates the metal body from the process media, making it suitable for water, wastewater, HVAC, compressed air, gas, and mild chemical service. A lever handle with a notched position plate allows quick quarter-turn operation and intermediate throttling positions. The stem is blow-out proof and isolated from media by the seat liner.

All-stainless-steel body and disc (CF8/CF8M) provide excellent corrosion resistance. Ductile iron body with nylon coating is also available for general water service. The valve is designed to API 609 Category A and EN 593, with wafer drilling compatible with ASME B16.5 Class 150 and PN10/PN16 flanges. Gear, electric, or pneumatic actuation can be fitted for larger sizes or automated systems.
